Family Photoshoots FAQ

Editors Note: This FAQ is a work in progress. If you have any questions which aren’t yet included, please do contact me.

Do you pose any of the photos?

I shoot a mix of mainly lifestyle and documentary with some posed shots. I achieve these with light direction and only if I think it would work with your family. If you have very active young children, I will be minimising any direction and focusing on natural shots.

Do you do photoshoots at home?

Yes, home can make a great location for photoshoots as it is the place we are at our most relaxed. A photoshoot is a great opportunity to show off a house renovation too.
For newborn clients, all photoshoots will take place at home for the comfort of the new baby.

Where are your outdoor photoshoots?

I usually shoot in park settings and gardens, if you would like a photoshoot on private property or somewhere like New Forest a special permit must be arrange so do give plenty of notice. Anywhere that you and your family will enjoy spending time with each other.
I also love shooting in more urban locations, close to home in Winchester and also in Central London. We shall discuss ahead of your photoshoot what kind of location you would like to have your photoshoot.

What if it rains?

I can accommodate with a cute raincoat, boots and umbrellas - however if thats not your thing, I am happy to reschedule to a dryer time. I will be watching the weather closely on the day and keeping you updated.

Can I have the RAW and unedited files

I believe my clients deserve the best and I will show you the best. I put a lot of time and effort into taking beautiful portraits and editing them in my own signature style, only a select few will make it through to final edits.
You can expect to choose from 50-80 photographs, if you would prefer a higher number of photos - please discuss ahead of time as this will require a longer photoshoot time.
